Moving away from the actual wedding this week, I want to touch on the honeymoon. We didn’t do a proper honeymoon. Ours was a pre-wedding honeymoon and consisted of a trip to London for a few days to see the Paralympics. It proved to us that it is possible to do a budget honeymoon and still have fun. The problem is planning a honeymoon can take just as much time – if not more time – as planning the wedding. There are many different honeymoon ideas to choose from and you want to get it perfect. My partner and I agreed that it was better to wait to splash out on a honeymoon. We took advantage of the London Paralympic games happening the week before our wedding but if it wasn’t for that, we were going to opt for a honeymoon at a later stage, like Christmas, Easter or for the year anniversary.
