A strapless, short dress may be something that you want to wear but that does not mean it is the best option. Before buying any style of wedding dress, you will need to try it on. This will help to determine whether the style is right for your size and shape. While you want a dress that you love, you also want one that will make you look like a princess on your big day.

For brides who are pear- or apple-shaped, a longer dress that flows is often a better option. This is because it will not clingy to the more embarrassing parts. Likewise, those who are heavier on the top may want to include sleeves to hide larger arms and shoulders. Going into a bridal store and trying on the different dresses will help you find the perfect style for your size and shape.

Your Complexion

You do not need to have a white wedding dress. In fact, ivory, cream and pale pink wedding dresses are becoming much more popular. These work well for those who have a pale complexion as it adds a little colour.

It is also possible to opt for a white dress that has stitching and detail in a different colour. This will also help those with a paler complexion and the detail can also help to distract from embarrassing areas on the body.

Your Budget

There is no need to spend thousands on the perfect wedding dress. Bridal stores tend to stock the designer dresses, which is why they are so expensive. However, it is possible to find the same designs in high street stores and even online but for much less in price. This means that you can have your dream wedding dress for the price you are willing to pay.

How Much Should You Spend on Your Wedding?

I recently saw a thread on a forum about people spending tens of thousands of pounds on their wedding. There does seem to be a big move into spending a large amount on one day. To some that’s stupid but to others it’s their dream. How much should you spend on your wedding? Honestly, I believe it should be as cheap or as expensive as you’d like.
